Since 1985, the AGC Education and Research Foundation has annually recognized an educator making a significant mark in the field of construction education.
The James L. Allhands Award recognizes a student essay on a specific topic deemed beneficial to the advancement of technical, educational, or vocational education in the construction industry.
The foundation is in its fifth year of an exciting ongoing initiative that partners an AGC contractor and an educational institution to provide a faculty member with an engaging summer internship experience on a construction project. The overall goal of internships is to provide educators with on-the-job experience to impart this first-hand knowledge to their students.
