The Outstanding Senior Business Student Awards are presented to seniors who go on to become the world’s future business leaders. They are active members of the student body, talented interns and successful students who have excelled in their classes.
The Student of the Year Award is the most prestigious award given to a graduating senior in the College of Business Administration. It is awarded to students who demonstrate professionalism, leadership and teamwork. They go above and beyond in their academics, internships and student organizations.
Scholarship Universe connects students to multiple scholarships outside of CBA. After answering a few initial questions, Scholarship Universe connects you with donor-based internal (CMU) scholarships. It also has a portal to help you search for external scholarship opportunities.
Paying For College
There are some scholarships that are based on financial need. To be eligible for these awards, you must submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by October 1st.
Some CBA scholarships are renewable for your entire CMU experience. To renew your scholarship, you must submit a new application each year.
Please note that if you receive a scholarship, there is no guarantee that you will receive this scholarship the following year.

John’s Episcopal Church Choral Scholars, expected to perform at St. The schedule does not interfere with scheduled university classes, practices or performances. Choral scholars will learn about sacred hymn literature from the 16th century to the 21st century, learn the place and importance of music in liturgies according to the church year, and improve vocal and sight-reading skills. The award was established by President George Ross and CMU First Lady Elizabeth Ross and is for an entering student from the Detroit, Flint, or Saginaw metropolitan areas who demonstrates exceptional promise as a vocal music major. Scholarships For College Of Business Administration Students
The scholarship is awarded annually to a junior, senior or graduating woodwind major who demonstrates artistic performance ability in competition during the spring semester.
Scholarship applications are open to all undergraduate trombonists who are currently music majors and have completed at least 45 credit hours but no more than 100 credit hours prior to the semester of application. Applications are accepted and reviewed each spring semester, and grants are made available at the beginning of the fall semester. Students are selected by a committee based on the following criteria:
This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman or transfer student who is a full-time music major with an emphasis in trombone, maintains a GPA of 3.25 for all music classes and who contributes to the CMU School of Music Ensemble.
This scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior music major who demonstrates artistic performance ability at a brass competition held in the spring semester. Requirements for the competition include performing a piece 6-10 minutes in length and a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
Kcc Foundation Announces Elayna Potter As Recipient Of Prestigious Hensley Transfer Scholarship, Awarding $13,000 Per Year For Two Years
Recipients will be an undergraduate or graduate student with a 3.0 GPA, preference will be given to a recent high school graduate as an entering graduate student with a 3.0 GPA and/or an undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to recipients with a major or minor in organ, as well as a successful audition with the School of Music. If no qualified organ majors are available, students majoring or minoring in keyboard may be considered. Recipients are selected by a committee of keyboard faculty. If a student does not meet the criteria in a given year, donors may choose not to award the award that year and return the expenditure allocated for the award to the endowment fund.
Money from this fund will be awarded each year to one student who is deemed deserving and in need of an advanced piano scholarship through a piano competition in the spring semester.
Awarded to a resident of Genesee County, Michigan who is a music major and whose primary instrument is percussion. If there are no qualified percussionists, preference will be given to residents of Genesee County as follows, in this order: 1) Jazz studies, non-keyboard, 2) Jazz studies, keyboard (piano), 3) Any instrument.
